Padova

One of the oldest university cities in the world (1222). Galileo taught Mathematics and Physics here for 18 years. An art city of absolute masterpieces. First and foremost, the radiant Scrovegni Chapel was frescoed by Giotto. In 2021 it was awarded its second UNESCO award for 'The cycles of frescoes from the 14th century' after having been added to the prestigious list in 1997 for its Botanical Garden, which is the oldest in the world established in 1545.
