Cartizze

Cartizze is a small area of 107 hectares inside Valdobbiadene between the hamlets of Santo Stefano and San Pietro di Barbozza. Its position, the geological complexity of the soil, and the fortunate and unique microclimate make it the area where Valdobbiadene DOCG emerges with all its fragrances, deserving the appellation 'Superiore di Cartizze'. Its unique characteristics were acknowledged as early as the end of the 19th century in the Jacini agrarian inquest promoted by the Senate of the Kingdom of Italy.
